Production Manager
Manager Job Responsibilities
A manager is responsible for the productivity of their pod and the quality of the pod’s output. It is in the manager’s best interest to communicate, train and assess quality at all times, as their success as a manager is tied to the performance of their pod. A cohesive pod is one with frequent communication among the members and with their manager.
Specific Duties:
- A full second search will be executed by the managers on all reports that are turned in by pod members as a failsafe against our customers locating content we missed. This means the managers will conduct boolean Google searches, social media searches to assess the accuracy of the accounts located, and locate any additional accounts that the pod member may have missed, Also, they should review the content loaded into the software to make sure all entries were recorded correctly and completely. The manager will reread the assignment made by the client to ensure the report answers any questions or is tailored to provide the information sought by the client.
- Complex or related claims will be reviewed in person (via Google Meet) with all Sniffrs involved prior to the start of the assignment. In addition, communication throughout the report building is encouraged to make a cohesive final product, either via custom chat groups or full pod chat rooms.
If a complex claim has physical surveillance ordered in addition to the social media report, the manager will alert the physical surveillance team of any issues that might arise in the phys surv effort (IE: three family members look almost identical, or “multiple people in the family use the same name, or ‘three family members live together but the fourth has a different address” etc.)
- Check-ins via Google Chat at the beginning of the day, and at the end of the day are required
- Morning check in will include the following:
- Any instructions needed for the claims assigned to the Sniffr, and questions the Sniffr may have about claims in progress
- If a Sniffr has an appointment or any anticipated time out of the office that day, they will be responsible for telling the manager during the morning check-in. The manager will alert HR only if time needs to be deducted from accrued personal hours (in payroll).
- Morning check in will include the following:
- At the beginning of each day, the manager will assign claims to their team. The manager will choose claims that fit their team’s talents, and part of the morning check-in with their pod members will include an overview of the claims assigned to them.
- During a manager’s day, a data check should take place between finishing reports. If a pod member needs more work, the manager will assign a claim to them from the unassigned claims list in Air Table. If the assignment needs explanation, the manager will reach out by Google chat or Google Meet.
- The manager will be responsible for documenting any issues with their podmembers for review at bi annual review meetings or more frequently as needed.
Each manager should create and maintain a live spreadsheet, listing their Sniffrs, along with:
- Hours that each Sniffr is in the office every day.
- Names of reports done and the day/time of day they are sent for manager review.
- Any complex, long, or of note claims should be highlighted.
- Any reports that are sent back for more work should be highlighted.
* This data will be used in conjunction with other reports as a basis for a performance review of the Sniffr and to assess profit sharing at the end of the year. This spreadsheet will be shared with Management as part of a company-wide assessment.
Please note: Managers should be available for their teammates for all the hours the teammates are working.
